Space Kept

Mr Spaceman
missed the space
man
too sad
to slow down
alone

A break prevailed and
brakes failed and
stopping is nothing
but a distant
memory

Keep it and
face the creep and
don't tell him
how to act
he tells
you

Sick of space
Sick of this place
but there isn't a way
to stop
all by himself
only there with
only his thoughts
to think about

He would try
He would cry out
but what good
would that
do
except perpetuate

Space kept by
Space creep
and then some
without ignorance
love or
arrogance
done.

Ratman

Rats Rats Rats,
they sniff
eat
on the clock
patented
off the smoke
it sits.

Post shadowed and silhouetted
by a man in the sky
who pulls levers
and pushed my
intuition
leaves no secrets
Self perpetuated and served.

Take my soup
take my soup
fix my plane
because the hills grow
too quickly
the man
gets further away
but one day
I will meet him
and look and learn
about the rats
one day
any day
maybe tomorrow.

I look at my hands
claws
feet likewise
but I've know this all along
just forgotten
about consistency
self perpetuated and served
I remind myself
to forget
less.
